November 2019

November 2019
I admit to being a bit excited that I'll soon be typing 2020...I like the number.  :-)

So...what's up with Young Living in November?  There is a lot going on.  I'm particularly looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.  But before then...

1)  Buy One Get One Promos

This promo is for Essential Rewards members only.  Essential Rewards is an autoship, fully customizable monthly subscription program.  These B1G1 specials are good November 1-15.  If your ER normally processes later than the 15th, you may want to manually process it early.  This will also help keep your order from possibly being delayed during the Black Friday shipments.  Some years there have been so many orders that the shipping companies can't keep up.

I regularly use all of these products, but particularly love the Valor/Purification deal.

2)  November Promotions.  I love that Young Living gives us extra products when we place a large order.  Some items are Essential Rewards order only items, others are good for any order.

How I use these products?  Hope, Thieves, Abundance, and Joy - apply to skin as desired or diffuse.  Remember...a little goes a long way!  Start with one drop (applied topically) or a few drops (in a diffuser) and add more as desired.  The 10 ER points?  They accumulate for free products!  I often use my points to buy items like bar soap and shampoo.

Some of you may have your oils and what you would buy every month.  Why sign up for Essential Rewards?  Well, ER helps me with keeping my spending in line with my budget.  I decide how much money I can spend and customize my orders each month.  There are always more items that I'm interested in than that I actually purchase.  Even after 5 years, there are still products on my "want to try" list.  Supplements and NingXia Red are usually the bulk of my monthly purchase.

The weather is getting rather chilly here in the Northeast!  It is about time to get my kids ready for the day.  We have school (for one of them) and homeschool co-op (for 3 of them) today.  Remember...Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials may sell out quickly, be ready!

Enjoy your day!

Falling Leaves

It's October!  We are back from a week of vacation in the Smoky Mountains/Appalachia where the weather was unseasonably warm.  I love visiting areas of our country that I've never seen before.

Getting photos of these kids is always a challenge. 6 of our 7 kids joined us on this trip.  Here they are at the top of the Sky Lift in Gatlinburg, TN.

Anyway, there is lots of fun stuff going on at Young Living this month!

  • I love October because YL releases their Holiday Catalog.   Some items sell out every year, so if you see something you want, you may want to purchase it ASAP.  Right now items are available as "One Time Orders" (formerly Quick Order).  Starting November 1, items can be purchased as part of your Essential Rewards monthly subscription program.  I'm particularly excited about the Christmas Spirit Foaming Hand Soap and the small diffuser.
  • October Promotions!
    • Nutmeg, Cinnamon Bark, Orange - I love to diffuse these together in the fall and winter.
    • Life 9 - We love these probiotics.
    • Bergamot - I love this citrus.  I like to diffuse it with Patchouli and Vetiver for a calm, grounding scent or on it's own for an uplifting scent.
    • Cedarwood - I'm currently diffusing this at bedtime for my boys along with Lavender, Patchouli, and Vetiver
    • Frankincense - In the past, I've added Frankincense to the bedtime diffuser as well.  I also apply it topically to my skin (my face, to be exact).
    • October 1-31 - Free Shipping on Premium Starter Kits for new members.  Remember, becoming a member gives you 24% off...and does not obligate you to buy or sell anything.
We are enjoying cooler weather in our part of the country.  The leaves are just beginning to change colors and I'm looking forward to falling leaves that crunch when we walk through them.

What do you enjoy about October?

Fall is in the air

Fall is in the air
It's been humid around here this week but the nights are cooling down a bit and the sun is rising later and setting earlier...fall is approaching.  Part of me is a bit sad about the ending of warm summer days and not worrying about coats and shoes.  Part of me is excited.  I love the looks and sounds of fall--the crunch of fallen leaves, the smell of those leaves, the vibrant colors.  And somehow too I begin to want to cook and bake using apples and pumpkins.  Not sure why, but it invariably happens every year!

This month's promos:

Ginger Vitality - Labeled vitality, Ginger can be used internally in cooking or in capsules.  I do not have the vitality version, but I like to combine the standard Ginger (same oil, different label) with other oils--cinnamon bark, nutmeg, orange--for a lovely fall scent.

Inner Defense - We use this supplement to support our immune system.

Raven - I diffuse this one or apply topically.

Multigreens - We use this supplement to get lots of great nutrients found in plants (because I've never gotten into green smoothies).

Sniffleease - I like to apply this topically to the back of our necks.

Need some fun, oily recipes for fall diffusing?  Check out my

What does fall look like in your life?

Where has summer gone?

Where has summer gone?
Life continues to rush on by.  I enjoy savoring moments of time...but time keeps moving along.  As a homeschooling family, we have begun the 2019-2020 school year so our days are settling back into more of a routine.  We start early so that we can take some vacation time through the year.

I noticed that I managed to miss blogging at all in July, but I'm back again with the August promotions.  As always, Young Living offers free products with qualified purchases as per this graphic.  Some items are only available to those who purchase through the Essential Rewards program.

Why do I like these products?
  • Citrus Fresh - I love diffusing this.  Many years ago I loved candles and burned them frequently.  As we added children to our family, this became more of a safety hazard so I stopped.  I love that I can diffuse lovely scents to keep my home smelling fresh without the risk of candles.  There is also a Vitality version of Citrus Fresh which is labeled for internal use.  I put a drop or two of that in my ice water at times for a refreshing twist.
  • TummyGize - We rub a drop of this on our tummies as needed
  • Super C Chewable - Looking for a Vitamin C supplement?  I love this one as it is in chewable form.  I'm not a huge fan of swallowing pills myself so I and some of my kids take these as needed.
  • Thieves Roll-on - I love having the power of Thieves in a bottle already to roll on as needed.
  • Woodland Collection & Thieves Hand Purifier - These adorable holders coupled with the Hand Purifier are perfect to attach to a backpack or bag so that your hand purifier is always handy when you need it.  They would also make great stocking stuffers--Christmas will be here before you know it!
Enjoy your day!

It's June!

June in the Mid-Atlantic...settling into summer, long days, lots of green and blooming flowers, and the June promo items!

No photo description available.

100PV - ER Exclusive - Citronella.  I use Citronella in DIY projects or diffuse it for a summery scent.

190PV - adds Lime and ER Exclusive Northern Lights Black Spruce.  I like adding a drop or two of Lime with Stress Away in my diffuser.  Or Lime + a few other citrus oils for a nice summery scent.  Northern Lights Black Spruce is a favorite of mine as well.  I diffuse it or apply it topically.

250PV - Add a bar of Peppermint Cedarwood Soap.  Have you tried the soap yet?  We tried it once and haven't gone back!  We love the subtle scents.

300PV - Add a box of Nitro and a pair of Nitro branded socks.  Nitro is our favorite energy booster.  Even more energy when paired with Zyng!  I like it best cold so I keep it in the fridge.  And if you love Nitro and fun socks, these socks would make a great addition to your sock drawer.  :-)

Happy summer!

~Karen
